The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is an American daily newspaper in Atlanta (Georgia, USA) in Atlanta.The AJC, as it is more commonly known, belongs to the group Cox Enterprises specializes in media activities. The newspaper was born in 1982 from the merger of the Atlanta Journal and Atlanta Constitution until 2001, he was released under two titles in two different versions, one for the morning Constitution and afternoon for Journal. Now single version is broadcast daily to 460,672 copies per week and 620,782 for editions of Sunday2. Since 2003, is also a additional called Access Atlanta, a free magazine leisure activities of the city.

Although quoficiellement both newspapers merged in 1982, the Journal kept political orientation center-right while the Constitution was more liberal. When true merger in 2001, teams of journalists also joined and was set to adopt a more balanced tone. Thus the newspaper strongly encouraged John Kerry during the 2004 presidential election while in 2000 the Constitution supported Al Gore when the Journal showed his preference for George W. Bush.
